knock knock...
God's plans r indeed not our plans. the things dat struck me most wasnt the bible quiz itself but the ongoing battles we fight while we prepare for it. the solidarity that we share while preparing for it... n our need for God as we struggle thr' it.
i thank God for Roger & Zhiqiang... dat even as their exams are nearing, they'r spending alot of time n effort in reading God's Word. i know dat God will change n mould them as they dwell on His Word daily. i'm so encouraged by their efforts n particularly touched dat we'r learning to commit our weaknesses to God as we battle against our weak flesh during this stressful period.
den Weicai called today also n shared his disappointment at not being able to participate. i could sense his deep deep disappointments. but i know dat with our common objective, we'll reach the finals... n he'll still b able to represent our cell... this is the first time in a long time, i feel dat inspirretuo hv united n r striving towards a common goal...
last wk we had the first prelims... wasnt w/o hitches but it was a blessing to witness how many of the younger youths had put in so much heart into this event. whilst some grps din do v well... we cant discount the fact dat they've read the 2 books... they jux din get the rite questions or overlooked questions dat Patrick hv thot of. take my hat off FOTS who did really well.. go Mandy go! put some of the older youths to shame man... but really, wat u give is wat u get... they've given time to reading God's Word so they tasted sweet victory.
really praying hard for inspirrteuo dat God will impress upon them real lessons dat they can apply to our daily lives thr' this episode. Speak God, n we'll listen.
