knock...
another sunday outing with HZ... wanted to get sneakers at queensway but din find any i love... found a pair i like... but dun love them soooooo... nay. give it a miss. some things r worth waiting 4... if not worthed it, den i can jux do without it. y so hard to find a pair i love deh?
the queue was insane at ikea... siaozzzz... got sale meh? dun need money to buy those barangs eh...? enroute 2 the bus-stop to get a bus to town.
got stopped by a couple from the church of God who claimed dat celebrating passover was crucial to the christian belief. dubious. misquoted the bible also by saying dat Paul was saying that it was important to celebrate the passover. and to celebrate it on a fixed date was essential. ehhh... the reason for remembering the passover was more impt... coz God delivered the Israelites from the plagues that struck the egyptians den... it was commemorated bcoz of the convenant God had with His ppl... but with the sacrifice of Christ, a new convenant has been established. It's like Jesus healing on Sabbath when it was against the laws coz the message of grace was being conveyed... n Christ reaching out to the gentiles and subsequently Paul going forth to the gentiles as well... spoke of ancient laws being broken down and the promise of eternal life being given to non-Jews as well as long as they had faith. would God have insisted on celebrating passover on its exact date? if we dun celebrate easter or christmas, does it make us less Christian even if we carried the cross daily?
today's incident reminded me dat it is so so so impt to know the Word of God... there's so many false teachings dat can sound convincing if we'r ignorant... marks the nearing of the end. r u still binding the things of the world or r u prepared to experience His presence for eternity? r u a goat or a sheep? temporal pleasure vs eternal joy. choose.
haizz... reminded of another gandi's quote saying dat he'd believe in Christ if not for its followers. i try. we try but we'r really mere humans... reiterate dat we'r not proclaiming dat we'r perfect. far far far from it... dat's y we need God's saving grace. the only difference between Christians n other believers... is dat we've someone to count on in our darkest moments... we acknowledge dat we do wrong n we need our maker to forgive our sins... like wat switchfoot sings... we'r crooked souls trying to stay up straight with God's power.
