started the day very badly. terribly upsetty stomach. stuck in the loo and was so late for work. uurgghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
the rest of the day was alrite... decided to finally go collect my miniSD card at adelphi... after getting my new ipod holder. well, not my dream holder but still... b4 my dream becomes reality. we make do with it lah. the dream one gotta wait for my sewing machine to finally become a reality first.
went to raffles city to chk out the queue at donut factory. keep hearing bout it but nvr seen it happen. wow lao, singaporeans really darnz cho bo can?!?!?!?!?!? at like 3 plus 4pm, there were like at least 30 ppl in the queue. siaoz. total waste of time for roti with lobang can?!?!?!?! siaoz. ppl actually queue 2-3hrs for them?!?!?!?!? hello!!!! no better way to spend time meh?!?!?!?!?
i got my burgundy beef pie for piper's instead. yummilicious can?!?!?!?!?!? wooohoooooooo... love it love it love it lah! realised they thinned out the filo n piled up on the beefy. man! so good. though i did say i'm cutting off my red meat but still, worthed it for burgundy beef. *drooolzzz*
had to rush home to meet pa... was waiting for the bus for the longest time at my fave nuah spot. i dunno y... but i love dat bus-stop. love it love it love it.
they insisted the red top i bought for the nite's match was pink. watever! i say red can liaoz. was so late when we reached the stadium. jux when they started singing the national anthem. man. been a long time since i last uttered MAJULAH SINGAPURA!!!! the ambience was superb. never felt so nationalistic for the longest time. pity the sea of red wasnt red enuff. thank God planted ourselves somewhere near the field. havent watched football in stadium for eonsS!!! felt so good. though it was completely weird w/o the commentating. n PA was down in first half. so many yellow cards served but dunno to whom?
had loads fun watching n listening to the other spectators. we'r so linguistically "talented"... had live commentary in a smattering of mandarin, english, hokkien, malay. more of the latter lang was used for swearing though. n it was so ironical to listen to them complain dat referee was biased when their commentary was so stilted in the first place. we really tekan the opponents and referee real hard!!!! never heard so much foul lang in 2 hrs. never seen singaporeans more united.

here's one-half of the clappers who kena "scolded" by me for boo-ing n insulting. n boy, they were really obedient. shudded up when i said dun b rude when they reprimanded referee... oh ya, my folks posing in the backgrd. my ma in the toilet 3/4 of the time.
n there was a very patriotic angmoh with a singapore team jersey who was ultra enthu thr'out the match n made angmoh printed on his jersey. tis guy totally has no identity crisis! ho seh lah!!! SC said i shd hv a jersey dat says, i'm really chinese hor! true.
n of course, the high pt was when the thai team decided to boycott the game. hv u ever seen protesting singaporeans in the open? here they'r!

i dun blame the thais for acting the way they did. we've been extremely ungracious. spouted bad lang at them n referee from the beginning n kept raining middle fingers at them for no good reason. they were under tremendous pressure. but honestly, the refereeing was BAD!!!!! he was not making the best judgment most of the time.
while the thais and the officials blabberbubblefubble, we spoke with the kallang wave... whiiiissshhhh whooohhhhh whoooooossshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
n they finally conceded and "GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLL!!!!!"
never watched a more dramatic asian match... well, not as exciting as dat freaking headbutt... but to pause a game for so long.... every1 at the stadium was scratching their heads n wondering y the sudden dismissal from the pitch... hahahaa.. we decided to listen to radio broadcast to find out what happened. n we realise we dunno which frequency the news radio is on. woohooo!!!
anyway, while waiting for match 2 resume... do u know dat they hv prince landscapers coming in to fill up the pitch during halftime?! gosh. the things dat happen here.
well, when they finally agreed to play again. this is wat happened on the scoreboard.
steph's concentrating on the game while i'm trying to capture the best shot of our last major game in our national stadium... in a stadium with 55k ppl yet she looks so alone. love this pic.

bittersweet game. the thais obviously played better soccer but might hv been intimidated. if they din retaliate in a bad way, things might hv turned out better for them. such a shame. but i love the scene when they all gathered n moved to their supporters' side of the stadium to applaud them n thank them for the support. with their meagre side, they were really loud. i wish i could fly to bkk to support the lions.
was a shame when the thais chose to b wilful during a freekick. insisted dat the lions were too close a proximity. n the referee moved the ball further from the lions instead. joker lah!! one heck of a scene. i instinctly stood up n chanted red card. oops!!!!
we won but i thot the lions were really too arrogant n ungracious in the rougish way they played in the first half. n c'mon man! lions roar, they dun boo. sucked! to listen to u all criticize n point n condemn the thai players n referee at the wrong time. c'mon! the women r supposed to b the emotional n subjective folks. not the majority male spectators alrite...
anyway, glorious way to end the lifespan of the old national stadium. such a poignant moment. beautiful. way to end first mth of the yr. nice. our first family outing for the yr too. wishing so hard i can go bkk for the game. not a money prb but leave prb... uurggghhhh. i wanna watch world cup in the stadium too!!!
