knock knock...

sleep v early last nite as in early in the morning at bout 2am... was like a zombie for the whole of today. quite irritable... thank God no one stepped on my tail. almost wanted to tell mak kor i din wanna go 4 the BBQ in the evening... went afterall...
was a lovely time of refreshing... surreal feeling as we sat out there in the garden at bout 6plus pm... had a very vocally-challenged worship but it was amazing watching those ID people trying their best to offer praises to God... with God's creation in front, behind, above n below. the skies were romantically cloudy, a couple of birds glided over our heads, trees swaying to the tempo of the wind, the sea was calm n soothing... the breeze was perfect. there was ubin in the north, n our v distinctive housing in the eastern scope... on the sea was this huge vessel named pacific leo n a few yachts dotted the serene waters. can life get any better?
yes, it can! with great food! had chipolata instead of the usual hotdogs... the potato salad stole my stomach... mee siam was a tad salty but delighted my tastebuds still... otak was spicy n appetising... roti jala with the mutton curry was sinfully delicious...
had a great conversation with siew hoan's mum... n some of the COH's teachers... i'm impressed by their bubbliness even after a strenuous day at the centre. i must give credit to the teachers for the patience n love they have for their children... i'd not use the term, clients. it's too impersonal... i know only too well, those teacher regard them more as their kids den clients.
it was warming to see how the intellectually-challenged knew how to care n share with their mates... despite their limited mental capacity, they still had the ability to show love to their peers... make me wonder y normal ppl like us can't. guess the busyness of life has impaired our antennae to the needs of others sometimes...
anyhow, must say dat mak kor did a wonderful job organising... the setting of the entire place was absolutely lovely. we had wine glasses with immaculately twisted pandan leaves with orchids as stirrers for the tangy mocktail with fresh passionfruit for the added punch.
the chalet's a marvellous place... with a huge kitchen equipped with 2 fridges, 4 sinks, 2 ovens etc... n there were 5 bedrooms, a games room dat could house 2 table tennis tables... a large garden... 4 restrooms... only $600 for 4 days n 3 nites... alrite, could my civil servant frenz start balloting for the chalet?
again, God has provided me wat i needed in an entirely different way from wat i anticipated... instead of pigging on my bed at home... He brought me to a restful place where i could marvel n b reminded of wat our creator is capable of doing...
oh ya... COH = Christian Outreach to the Handicapped. a small org which could do alot with $600k peanuts. bascially they help provide training to the disabled - physically, intellectually, etc... like austistic youths, young adults, intellectually challenged individuals... so they can learn some lifeskills... those dat we take for granted. like taking a proper bath, preparing a drink, etc... or train them up for future employment... so if u'd like to give them a helping hand, tell me. i can help liase. does it make any difference, it really does. i've seen some of the beneficiaries for quite a few yrs n could notice the improvements. Siew Hoan, for one, has become more independent n can even help out newcomers... she's more confident n could show someone ard the chalet... she's picked up some Eng n Mandarin at the centre... n they could even sign 2 full songs...
msg for today. slow down, listen, watch, feel n immerse in the blessings of the day... the sunset was lovely n i'd an even lovelier companion... the creator was there with me n i could imagine Him saying, 'This is good. ' chk out His creation... it's been a long time since i last noticed sunset.
